The RS Feva is an RYA supported junior class which has a massive following in England. In Scotland however, it is a relatively new class and represents a great opportunity for junior sailors to get involved early and develop along with the class.
Who knows, they may even become founder members of the first Scottish RS Feva Squad which we hope to form late 2010!
Coaching Events
In 2009, a number of coaching events were organised to introduce juniors to double handed sailing and racing and our Winter Training program commenced in October.
Winter Training is an important part of any keen sailor’s development and is a great way to learn and improve out with the racing season. It also gives the sailor an advantage over the rest of the fleet who will start next season rusty and will not be sailing at their best until well into the summer.
Remember you do not need a sailing partner to participate in any of the coaching events as there will be other sailors looking for a crew or helm as well.
Racing
Two events were organised for the Scottish Fevas Traveller Circuit 2009, which was sponsored by STEM Drive and competitors battled for the STEM Drive Shield and Trophies. See Events page for reports and results.
The 2010 Scottish Fevas Traveller Circuit will be used as the selectors for the first Scottish RS Feva Squad.
New Traveller sponsorship deal announced with JP Watersports.
